<p>Much of the growth in the Q4 08-09 is being credited to Reliance entrance in GSM services and to regional operators spreading their wings with national licences. Reliance GSM notched up of 11.3 million mobile subscribers in the January-March quarter period (creating a world record in &#8216;the number of GSM subscribers added in a month&#8217; &#8211; 5 million subscribers in January &#8216;09). Whereas Aircel recorded an addition of almost 1 million subscribers in the same duration.</p>
